Reading Your Portfolio Summary
The Summary tab provides a consolidated financial snapshot of your entire portfolio. It brings together investment totals, performance figures, and net worth into a single view.
Time in Market
At the top of the Summary, Ghostfolio shows how long you have been investing — for example, "about 9 years" with "12 activities" total. This gives context for the performance numbers below.
Activity Summary
The Buy and Sell totals show the historical cost basis of your transactions:
- Buy — total amount spent acquiring assets (e.g., 64,931.38 USD)
- Sell — total proceeds from selling assets (e.g., 0.00 USD if you have never sold)
Performance Metrics
The performance section breaks down your returns in detail:

Dividends and Interest
If you receive dividends or interest, Ghostfolio tracks those separately at the bottom of the Summary so you can distinguish investment appreciation from income.
